Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. is seeking a Sheetmetal Worker to interpret drawings and perform layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of light gage metalwork including ductwork, lockers, cabinets, bulkheads, doors, and furniture.

Work may involve confined spaces and various shipyard environments. Requirements include a High School diploma/GED or 2+ years of relevant technical experience and 5+ years in sheetmetal fabrication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 2+ years of relevant technical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant sheetmetal fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings with basic mathematical ability.
• Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of light gage metalwork including air-conditioned ductwork, lockers, cabinets, bulkheads, doors, furniture and Formica.
