American Systems seeks an Electrical Designer/Drafter to support U.S. Navy submarine programs and UUV systems. You will develop 2D drawings, perform ship checks, and assist with electrical design documentation under senior guidance.

The role is 100% onsite, with responsibilities spanning drafting, data collection, and collaboration with engineers to ensure accurate design intent and Navy compliance.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance (sponsored by American Systems).
• Associate degree or 2-year program in electronic/electrical engineering technology.

Responsabilités

• Create 2D electrical cabling diagrams and wiring tables to spec.
• Perform voltage drop and load balancing calculations for power systems.
• Develop, update, and maintain Lists of Material (LOM).
• Conduct ship checks on submarines to collect field data.
• Update drawings with redline input from senior staff.
• Coordinate with engineers and program teams on design intent.
