Job summary

Atlas Tech in Groton, CT is seeking an AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System Engineering Technician to support ongoing submarine modernization efforts. This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on maintenance, testing, and integration of the AN/BYG-1 system in accordance with DoD and U.S.

Navy procedures. The ideal candidate will hold DoD secret clearance, have experience configuring networking equipment and Windows servers, and be able to travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• DoD Secret Level security clearance is required.
• Hands-on experience with networking gear and Windows servers/workstations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and operation of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System.
• Support systems engineering activities with SME.
• Assist with testing and evaluations; perform validations/verifications of the AN/BYG-1 system.
• Assist in disassembly, reassembly, installation and testing of the Submarine Combat System.
• Assist in executing Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs).
• Develop technical data for PMS, manuals, procedures, and maintainability improvements.
• Be the on-site interface for equipment installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other tasks.
• Ensure compliance with engineering docs, plans, specs and test procedures.
