Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a DARPA STO Subject Matter Expert to work on-site in Arlington, VA, supporting the Cattle Run program on solar propulsion and space systems. You will monitor progress, advise the Program Manager, and help drive program success with your technical expertise.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in astrodynamics, solar sails, or related space technologies, and is capable of coordinating with multiple DoD agencies. A TS clearance is required, with a Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate technical reports and create plans to address issues.

Job description

Everforth ECS is seeking a DARPA STO Subject Matter Exper t to work on-site in Arlington, VA .DARPA STO is seeking Subject Matter Experts who will provide technical expertise for the Cattle Run program. The Cattle Run program develops solar propulsion technology and demonstrates the ability of solar sails to enable presence in cislunar space while carrying useful payloads. The ideal candidate actively monitors technical progress, anticipates challenges, and proactively works with the Program Manager to overcome obstacles and drive the program toward success. The candidate will participate in activities related to their area of technical expertise and actively provide analysis and recommendations on performer progress, results, and program plan. The ideal candidate should possess technical research, development, and engineering experience in at least one topic that is relevant to the program. The program is specifically seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following: astrodynamics, solar sail technology, space propulsion development, space launch coordination and planning, space operations, hardware testing, space-based communications, space-based Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), control systems, Space Situational Awareness (SSA), space to space imaging technology, space system development.

Responsibilities include:
  • Evaluate technical reports, briefings, and other performer communications and create plans to address any issues.
  • Engage stakeholders and collaborators across the various DoD agencies and services.
  • Prepare DARPA work products, including presentations and reports.
  • Attend and organize program reviews, site visits, and field tests.
  • Support further research solicitation development and source selection activities associated with new developing program efforts.

Salary Range: $80.00-$120.00 (actual compensation/hourly rate depends on overall experience)

General Description of Benefits

  • Master's Degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years experience in one or more of the following areas: astrodynamics, solar sail technology, space propulsion development, space launch coordination and planning, space operations, hardware testing, space-based communications, space-based Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), control systems, Space Situational Awareness (SSA), space to space imaging technology, space system development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support in a team role in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment.
