Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking a Director of Subcontracts Management to transform our Subcontracts capability into a core function that reliably delivers EHS, quality, cost, and schedule commitments. This construction-first leadership role requires hands-on EPC experience and strong people leadership to build and scale a high-performing team within our Supply Chain organization.

You will set strategy for subcontracting, drive partnerships, and apply field-tested judgment to optimize bidding,

Qualifications

Construction experience in field, site, or EPC environments.
Experience leading subcontracts or subcontract management, including negotiations and execution.
Experience managing subcontractor performance and change orders on active projects.
Experience leading and developing a team.
Experience reading, writing, and negotiating multi-year contracts and pricing arrangements.
Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Set and drive the vision for Subcontracts and align with business leaders.
Build and lead a high-performing subcontracts team and define roles and expectations.
Identify talent gaps early and build bench strength to scale with portfolio.
Establish preferred partnerships with subcontractors for competitive advantage.
Lead disciplined subcontractor selection based on EHS, cost, quality, and schedule.
Apply construction expertise to scope, sequencing, and productivity assumptions.
Hold subcontractors accountable and manage change orders and documentation.
Develop measures to track performance and drive informed decisions.
