Jacobs is seeking a Subcontracts Manager for Life Sciences North America to oversee contracting of major construction services on large projects and lead a team of Subcontract Administrators on a project.
The role reports to the Director of Subcontracts and supports project procurement with a deep understanding of policies. Local Puerto Rico residents are preferred; travel is 10–20%.

As a Subcontracts Manager for Life Sciences North America, you will be responsible for contracting major construction services for large and critical Projects (Projects with a Total Installed Cost of $200M - $750M or those of high importance to Jacobs, regardless of value, based on client relationship, at-risk incentives, or compensation structure, inherent challenges, or strategic importance to the business). The Subcontracts Manager coordinates and supervises the daily activities of, and is accountable for, the results of a team of Subcontract Administrators on a Project.

The Subcontracts Manager has extensive knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion and serves as an expert within the organization. They understand the role of procurement and its integration with other project functions, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The Subcontracts Manager reports directly to the Director of Subcontracts. While supporting Jacobs’ Projects, the Subcontracts Manager will report indirectly to the assigned Project Procurement Manager (PPM), Project Manager, or Construction Manager.

The base salary range for this position is $143,500.00 to $200,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
