Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne is seeking a senior Subcontracts professional to source and procure specialized goods and services for critical defense programs. You will own contractual management for suppliers and coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, and operations to support delivery schedules.

This on-site role requires experience in FAR/DFARS, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience; Masters with 10 years; PhD with 8 years, or in-lieu of degree with 16 years of experience.
• Experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Project Management, Business Management, or Finance Management.
• Experience working with SAP or related business application software, including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of FAR / DFARS or Business Law.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure specialized goods and services.
• Owns contractual management for the supplier.
• Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases.
• Coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
• Develops subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for procurement.
• Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders conferences, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects/subcontracts.
• Manages supplier performance and ensures compliance with public law and company policies.
