Job summary

Dwayne Lane is seeking an Express Service Technician to join our automotive team on site in Burlington, WA. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and help customers understand needed repairs while upholding safety and quality standards.

You’ll work with hand and power tools, support inspections, and contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused service department that values accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior dealership or auto repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Able to lift heavy objects safely.

Duties

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs efficiently and accurately
• Conduct basic automotive diagnostics to identify issues quickly and determine necessary repairs
• Assist with vehicle alignments, tire services, and mechanical inspections to ensure optimal performance
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete repairs and maintenance tasks with precision
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance when appropriate
• Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
• Assist in vehicle inspections for safety compliance and identify potential mechanical issues early

Requirements

• Prior dealership or automotive repair experience preferred, with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
• Proven mechanic experience with hands-on work involving vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
• Familiarity with automotive service tools, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine service tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is a plus
