Job summary

Plaza Health in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a dedicated Nursing Unit Manager to lead clinical operations within our Sub-acute care unit. You will oversee nursing staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and maintain regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has an active NJ RN or LPN license, 2–3 years of long-term care experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license in NJ.
• 2–3 years nursing experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) on assigned unit.
• Coordinate and oversee resident care plans and clinical services.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Manage staffing schedules, assignments, and workflow.
• Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists.
• Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting.
