Job summary

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification and completed CNA program.
• Minimum one year of Sub-Acute experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods with/without accommodation.
• Compassion towards residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for residents under supervision of a licensed or registered nurse.
• Assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation, outings).
• Maintain unit organization for smooth operation.
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics.
• Perform and document rounds and report changes.
• Provide companionship and excellent care.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize patient/resident activities by care needs.
• Assist with transfers (wheelchair to bed, bed to chair).
• Transport residents to dining areas for meals and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Other duties as assigned.
