STYLIST IN TRAINING

WHAT WE OFFER

Would you like to become one of our future stylists? If you have the desire, we can help you get there. This temporary 90-day position allows you to learn the business while delivering exceptional customer service across all communication channels.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Learn how to grow the business and manage expenses by observing stylists and managers.
• Greet customers and answer the phone with your smile—your logo.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and follow safety standards, understanding that some tasks are necessary even if not glamorous.

As a stylist-in-training, you may qualify for a promotion to stylist once licensed. Promotion is not automatic; you must earn it.

HOW TO GET PROMOTED TO A STYLIST

To be considered, you must: 1) have a valid license in your state; 2) perform duties permitted by your license, including cutting, styling, coloring, waxing, washing, and perming; and 3) demonstrate Regis values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain necessary licenses within or before 90 days of hire.
• Possess good judgment and time management skills, and enjoy working in a dynamic salon environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Be tech-savvy to operate point-of-sale systems and enter data.
• Have a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Be comfortable lifting up to 10 lbs. for retail stocking and occasionally 10-25 lbs. for unloading shipments.
• Be on your feet most of the day.
• Read, write, and perform basic math.
• Be available for mandatory meetings and training, including overnight travel if necessary.
