Douglas J Institutes & Salons is seeking licensed cosmetologists who are passionate about hair design to deliver stunning transformations for guests. This family-owned leader operates salons across Michigan and beyond, embracing creativity, education, care, and inclusion.

You will provide thorough consultations, perform personalized services, educate guests on at-home care with our product lines, and build lasting relationships through pre-booking and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• State of Michigan Cosmetology License.
• Charismatic, approachable personality with a passion for hair design.
• Personal drive to advance your skills and career.
• Experience with Aveda cutting and styling techniques and products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a thorough consultation to assess your guests ideal image, evaluating face shape, hair texture, and at-home maintenance preferences.
• Perform individualized services to achieve the guests ideal cut or style using cutting and styling techniques and products.
• Educate your guests on achieving their look at home using the salons product lines and recommended styling techniques.
• Build relationships with guests and make pre-booking recommendations to attain guest retention.
• Continuously grow your technical skills and compensation through our level system, focusing on continuing education, guest retention, and delivery of at-home care recommendations.
