Job summary

Medidata is seeking a Clinical Operations SME and Sales Specialist to lead expansion for our Study Experience portfolio in the West Coast biotech territory. This is not a generalist software sales role; you will bring deep domain expertise to drive adoption of CTMS, eTMF, and Site Payments.

You will collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Strategy, build executive relationships, and manage the pipeline in Salesforce while traveling 30–50% to energize growth across the region.

Qualifications

• Deep domain expertise in Clinical Operations cloud platforms (CTMS, eTMF, or Site Payments).
• Proven sales track to clinical-stage companies and quota attainment.
• Ability to negotiate complex software contracts.
• Strong communication with C-suite executives and pipeline management.
• Travel availability up to 30–50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary commercial SME for Medidata's Study Experience portfolio across the West Coast biotech territory.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Strategy to feed market intelligence into roadmaps.
• Build relationships with customers and translate challenges into solution recommendations.
• Navigate a collaborative, cross-functional sales environment.
• Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and renewals.
• Partner with Account/Territory Managers to qualify customer needs and accelerate negotiations.
• Lead end-to-end value selling with business cases and ROI models to executives.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in Salesforce.
