Labcorp in Madison, WI is seeking a Study Director III - Toxicology to lead nonclinical toxicology studies, representing the single point of control and ensuring GLP compliance. Preferred candidates hold a PhD in toxicology or related fields and have CRO or pharma non-clinical development experience, with strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in toxicology, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology with 3+ years of research experience.
  • PhD in toxicology or related fields preferred.
  • Experience at a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical non-clinical drug development is valued.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Study Director, Principal Investigator, or Contributing Scientist for nonclinical toxicology studies under GLPs.
  • Represents the single point of control for safety assessment studies and bears legal responsibility for the study.
  • Main client contact and advisor for ongoing studies, understanding Sponsor requirements.

Labcorp is seeking a Study Director III - Toxicology to join our team in Madison, WI!

Job Responsibilities:

Serves as a Study Director, Principal Investigator, or Contributing Scientist for nonclinical toxicology studies, as described in the GLPs.

  • Represents the single point of control for safety assessment studies and being legally responsible for the study.
  • Learns overall responsibility for the technical conduct of a study as well as for the interpretation, analysis, documentation, reporting of results, and archival in compliance with appropriate policies, SOPs, GLPs, Home Office License requirements (if applicable), and regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Is the main client contact and advisor for ongoing studies and must develop a full understanding of the Sponsor’s requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in toxicology, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology with 3 or more years of scientific research experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in toxicology, regenerative biology, genetics, virology, or immunology
  • 1 or more years of experience as a Study Director or Principal Investigator
Additional Job Standards:
  • Experience at Contract Research Organization
  • Experience in directly overseeing or acting as a team member in pharmaceutical non-clinical drug development
  • Strong client relationship building and management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to help foster a high professional standard and encourage good staff relationships
  • Ability to understand financial status of ongoing studies
