Job summary

Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking a Study Coordinator III to support epidemiologic studies and public health surveillance initiatives. The role involves coordinating domestic and international data collection, managing datasets, and preparing analyses and manuscripts for dissemination.

You'll work with epidemiologists, laboratory staff, and partners, developing educational materials and coordinating contracts and cooperative agreement submissions while ensuring data quality and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of epidemiologic research, public health surveillance, study coordination, and management of human and animal health data.
• Experience managing surveillance or research databases, including data entry, data cleaning, validation, quality assurance, and resolution of data discrepancies.
• Ability to support database design and maintenance, including development of data collection tools, case report forms, tracking systems, and standardized data elements.
• Ability to perform basic to intermediate analysis of epidemiologic or surveillance data and summarize findings for research, programmatic, or investigative use.
• Strong project coordination skills, including managing timelines, tracking deliverables, organizing meetings, maintaining stakeholder information, and coordinating activities across multiple workstreams.
• Knowledge of records management, data confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate handling and electronic storage of human research or surveillance information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with epidemiologists, laboratory staff, public health officials, domestic and international partners, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical, educational, and public-facing materials, including reports, training materials, presentations, website content, and stakeholder communications.
• Experience supporting administrative and programmatic activities such as contract packages, cooperative agreement submissions, documentation requirements, and deadline tracking.
• Ability to contribute to scientific products, including data summaries, abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and conference materials.

Summary:

As a Study Coordinator III the candidate shall perform specified portions of scientific work involving studies of the functions, environmental response, biological activities, and/or processes of viruses, humans, and animals, and their component parts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelors Degree in microbiology, virology, molecular biology, immunology, biotechnology, or a closely related scientific discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biological sciences, health sciences, clinical research, health informatics, or a related field.
• Approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience supporting or coordinating public health, epidemiologic, clinical, surveillance, or research projects.
• Experience working with surveillance databases, research databases, case report forms, or electronic data collection systems.
• Experience supporting domestic or international public health, research, or surveillance activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Microsoft Access, REDCap, SQL-based systems, or comparable database and data-management tools.
• Experience using statistical or analytical software such as SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, or similar tools.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary meetings, working groups, training activities, and project deliverables across internal and external partners.
• Experience supporting contracts, cooperative agreements, grants, or other research and program management activities.
• Experience developing educational materials, public health communications, website content, or stakeholder response materials.
• Experience contributing to scientific presentations, abstracts, technical reports, manuscripts, or conference materials.
• Prior experience with CDC.
• Experience training laboratory personnel or external researchers in molecular diagnostic, virology, or research assays.
• Experience contributing to peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, scientific presentations, or presentations at national or international conferences.
