Job summary

University of Oklahoma's Education Abroad Office is seeking a dedicated Study Abroad Advisor to guide students through exploration, applications, and pre-departure preparation for global learning opportunities.

As a key member of the Education Abroad team, you will develop partnerships with campus stakeholders and international institutions, promote study abroad across campus, and support students from initial interest to successful program participation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and some college.
  • 18 months experience in office supervision/management or student services.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise students through the study abroad journey, helping them identify programs that align with goals and finances.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with campus stakeholders, international institutions, and providers.
  • Promote study abroad across campus via outreach, sessions, fairs and events.
  • Manage program and student application processes with accurate records and internal procedures.
  • Support scholarships, visas, and other requirements to reduce barriers to participation.
  • Collaborate across university offices for records, financial aid, billing, and operations.
  • Participate in occasional evening and weekend events and other duties.
