Job summary

The Meany Center for the Performing Arts in Seattle seeks a Lead Stage Technician (Stage Technician 2) to be the primary on-site tech for the Studio Theatre. reporting to the Technical Director, you will support productions, rehearsals, and performances and serve as the production point-person for UW academic partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience as a Stage Technician 1 or equivalent.
• Experience leading stage crews and pre-run of show activities.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED required once hired.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during event runs and with changing weekly schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site technician during Studio Theatre performances.
• Coordinate with academic partners and venue departments (Front of House).
• Support production managers in guiding student crews during technical rehearsals and shows.
• Collaborate with other production teams to ensure safe operation of technical systems.
• Manage performance schedules and run day timelines with the Technical Director.
