Job summary

AVANT Communications in Chicago seeks a temp-to-hire Graphic Design and Video Specialist to manage and produce technical education content for AVANT Academy. The ideal candidate is organized, expert in Adobe Creative Suite, and capable of handling multiple projects with precision.

The role reports to the Director of Creative Services and collaborates with Marketing and Education teams to deliver polished videos on schedule. Office-based with 1–3 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in video development, editing, and design with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration with education and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Works with education team and vendors to schedule in-person recordings.
• Manages video shoots in-studio and on location, setting up equipment.
• Edits and assembles footage, audio, graphics, and animation in Premiere Pro/After Effects.
• Maintains high video quality and optimizes content for YouTube, Vimeo, social media, and internal use.
• Ensures videos align with brand guidelines, tone, and objectives.
• Collaborates with directors and stakeholders to meet deadlines and technical specs.
• Organizes assets, backups, and maintains an accessible video library.
• Stays updated on editing trends and tools to improve output.
• Assists with motion graphics and effects as needed.
