CAN TV in Chicago is seeking a Production Manager who leads studio and field productions, assigning crews and coordinating schedules to deliver high-quality programs. You will oversee technical setup, troubleshoot live issues, and collaborate with editors to ensure strong visual storytelling.

This role requires strong leadership, organization, and a commitment to inclusive practices in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and/or 3–5+ years in TV, video production, or media operations.
• Experience managing production crews
• Knowledge of multi-camera studio and field workflows
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Familiarity with broadcast and streaming equipment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Assign and manage production crews for studio and field productions
• Develop production schedules, call sheets, and crew assignments
• Coordinate studio time, control room usage, and field equipment
