Job summary

Buffalo Toronto Public Media in Buffalo, NY is seeking per-diem Production Assistants to support studio and field productions. You will set and light for studio productions, operate cameras, and help ready the studio for events, rentals, and non-production activities.

This is on-site, non-exempt, per-diem/casual with pay ranging from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour. Candidates should have an associate degree preferred and 2+ years in a professional production environment, with knowledge of studio

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in a professional television production environment or equivalent experience at a college, university or technical school.
• Must have working knowledge of studio operations including operation of studio cameras, floor directing and other studio production tasks.
• Should be familiar with electronic field production equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set and light for studio productions.
• Operate studio camera and act as floor manager.
• Other production related duties, as needed.
• Help ready studio for non-production events, rentals, etc.
• May serve as grip for electronic field production.
• May serve as audio assist on electronic field production, as assigned.
