Job summary

Elements Massage San Mateo is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead day-to-day studio operations across the front desk, massage therapists, and estheticians, while growing skincare services and memberships. This role blends people leadership with hands-on operations on-site.

You will support the Area Manager, coach staff, onboard new team members, and ensure an exceptional client experience with brand-aligned standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years spa management preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a membership-driven environment (wellness, spa, or hospitality)
• Experience managing or supporting both sales and service teams
• Familiarity with scheduling systems, POS software, and studio operations

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee daily studio operations.
• Lead, coach, and support front desk staff, massage therapists, and estheticians.
• Help onboard, train, and support new team members across all roles.
• Support scheduling, coverage, and workflow for front desk and service providers.
• Reinforce service standards, client experience expectations, and brand values.
• Assist with membership growth, retail sales, and skincare service adoption.
• Address client concerns with professionalism and care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
• Partner with the Area Manager on performance, communication, and team culture
