Job summary

NELSON Worldwide in Florida is seeking a Studio Leader for the Healthcare & Design Studio to oversee performance, leadership, resource management, project delivery, quality, and financial results across the Florida region.

You will lead Project Leads and teams, mentor talent, build client relationships, and ensure designs meet healthcare standards, permitting, and sustainability goals while delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading healthcare design studios.
• Ability to manage finances and project delivery.
• Knowledge of permitting and code requirements.
• Familiarity with sustainability guidelines (LEED/Well/EnergyStar).

Job description

The Studio Leader is responsible for the overall performance of the Healthcare & Design Studio, including team leadership, resource management, project delivery, quality, and financial performance. The Studio Leader drives business growth by supporting pursuits, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects across the Florida region.

The Studio Leader leads and develops Project Leads and their teams, fostering a culture that reflects NELSON’s values and enables Teammates to excel. They are responsible for building talent, providing mentorship and opportunities for growth, and ensuring teams have the support needed to deliver exceptional client service and design outcomes.

Strong background in the Architecture & Design industry, within one or more of the following project types: Hospital and Medical Centers, Medical Specialty Facilities, Physician(s) Offices, Medical Realty Developers is required. Architecture license is preferred.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge And Skills

• Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness within the Healthcare Sector (Medical)
• Possess code knowledge and ensure team has incorporated permitting requirements into the deliverables
• Basic knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED, Well, EnergyStar guidelines
• Proficiency in Deltek Vision / Vantagepoint
• Proficiency in understanding of financial management concepts
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
