Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. in Huntersville, NC is seeking an established Land Planner/Landscape Architecture Group Manager to lead the studio’s staffing, supervision, and growth.

You will guide design teams on master plans, site plans, and entitlement processes while building client relationships and pursuing new opportunities. You will mentor junior staff, oversee project development, budgeting, and public presentations, and collaborate with clients and officials to advance projects from concept

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning from an accredited program preferred.
• Professional registration as a Landscape Architect or Certified Planner.
• 8+ years of professional land planning/landscape architecture experience with a diverse portfolio.
• Experience with entitlement and permitting processes in local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Landscape Architecture and Planning team in the Huntersville office.
• Partner with clients to advance master plans and zoning/entitlement processes.
• Oversee design development, contract documents, cost estimates, and client relations.
• Build the team and drive department growth across projects.
• Present to public officials and planning boards; engage in public outreach.
• Lead business development and marketing activities, including proposals and budgets.
• Oversee contracts, invoicing, and financial reporting.
