Job summary

UFC GYM in Wayne, NJ seeks an energetic Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and results-driven classes for members of all fitness levels. The role emphasizes motivating participants, maintaining proper form, and delivering high-energy sessions in a community-focused environment.

Responsibilities include planning, cueing, and adjusting workouts, supervising equipment, and promoting gym programs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of exercise science principles and safe training techniques.
• General understanding of anatomy and kinesiology.
• Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing.
• High energy level and physical stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured, effective group fitness classes.
• Demonstrate exercises with clear cueing and smooth transitions.
• Educate participants on proper form, modifications and contraindications.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and enforce studio guidelines.
• Welcome and orient new participants; motivate members and create a positive class environment.
• Arrange and record class times; operate studio sound and lighting systems; secure substitutes when necessary.
• Communicate member feedback to Program Manager and promote gym programs and events.
