Job summary

Detroit Institute of Arts in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Associate Producer to support studio, field, digital, audio, and video projects. You will handle logistics, asset gathering, documentation, and on-set or recording support throughout pre- to post-production.

Collaborate with hosts, producers, and directors to ensure efficient project execution. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and teleprompter operation skills, with weekend/evening availability as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a production environment, preferably media/entertainment.
• Ability to manage fast-paced production workflows and deadlines.
• Familiarity with studio and field setups (pre-, live, post).
• Proven track record managing multiple projects without sacrificing quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience operating teleprompters for studio shoots.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
• Familiarity with studio equipment and editing handoff processes.

Responsibilities

• Support production across all phases from pre- to post-production.
• Gather, organize, and manage assets (video, photos, audio).
• Provide on-set support and coordinate with crew.
• Research for script development and story ideas.
• Source archival materials or reference content for projects.
• Prepare materials and background info for creative decisions.
• Maintain inventory and asset tracking aligned with budgets.
• Organize production documents (releases, permits, agreements).
• Liaise between crew and production management during shoots.
• Ingest daily footage and coordinate with editors for completeness.
• Address technical/logistical needs to keep workflows smooth.
• Monitor equipment inventory and address shortages or repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
