Job summary

The Zimmerman Agency, Inc. is seeking a Studio Designer to join our production team in Tallahassee, FL. You will prepare production-ready files for print, OOH, digital, and social, and ensure all deliverables meet strict technical requirements.

You will manage pre-press tasks, maintain brand integrity, and collaborate with designers and vendors to keep projects on spec and on time.

• Maintain organized file structures and version control.
• Collaborate with design and creative teams to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
• Perform quality checks on files before release.
• Troubleshoot with vendors and internal teams when specs change.

You’re the person who makes sure beautiful ideas leave the building flawlessly.

You love the details, file names, specs, color profiles, bleeds, versions, all of it. When something goes to a media partner or print vendor, you want it buttoned-up, on spec, and on time.

At Zimmerman Agency, we’re looking for a Studio Designer with strong technical and production design skills to be a key part of our creative process.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and finalize production-ready files for print, OOH, digital, and social
• Handle pre-press tasks: setting up bleeds, crops, color profiles, imposition needs, and printer requirements
• Version, resize, and adapt existing designs across multiple formats and specs
• Ensure all deliverables meet technical requirements for print shops, media partners, and digital platforms
• Maintain organized file structures, naming conventions, and version control
• Collaborate closely with the design and creative teams to ensure work is accurate, consistent, and on-brand
• Perform quality control checks on files before they go out the door
• Problem-solve with vendors and internal teams when specs change or issues arise

What you bring

• Strong abilities in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat for pre-press checks)
• Solid understanding of:
• Pre-press and print production (CMYK vs RGB, resolution, bleeds, safety, etc.)
• Digital file prep for web and social (sizes, formats, compression, platform specs)
• Detail-obsessed and highly organized, you take pride in clean files and tight workflows
• Comfortable working with templates, guidelines, and brand systems
• Accountable and reliable, deadlines matter and you don’t let things slip
• Strong communicator who can work with designers, project managers, and vendors to get files right
