Job summary

PBS Utah is seeking a Studio Assistant to operate studio cameras, manage floor activity, and assist with lighting and set setups in a busy live production environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of studio production experience, a valid Utah driver's license is preferred, and the ability to work flexible hours. This part-time position offers opportunities to contribute to local PBS programming and educational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate a studio camera for live and pre-recorded productions.
• Stage manage during shoots.
• Operate the studio lighting consoles.
• Help set up and strike studio sets.
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of studios and pro rooms.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Maintain a safe, clean, professional studio environment.
• Follow OSHA ladder, lift and chemical safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Studio Production Manager.

PBS Utah is seeking a motivated and technically curious person tooperate studio cameras, perform as a floor/stage manager, hang andpoint lighting instruments, and set-up and strike studio sets. Thecandidate should have a solid understanding of televisionproduction techniques such as good framing and composition, andhave the ability to remain calm under pressure during livetelevision productions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to climb a ladder and learn to use an electriclift
• Ability to occasionally lift/carry 40 lbs
