Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a TERM INSTRUCTOR - STUDIO ART to teach three Studio Art courses each regular semester, which may include online and dual-credit/early college classes. The instructor will apply varied teaching methods to accommodate students with different backgrounds and will work to meet course outcomes and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Qualifications

Plan course instruction based on approved syllabus/outline to meet course content and objectives.
Utilize a variety of teaching styles to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Successful college teaching experience with instructional technologies (computers, internet, media).

Responsibilities

Evaluate students to measure progress toward course outcomes.
Provide a written, accessible syllabus outlining expectations and evaluation methods.
Maintain office hours and be available for student conferences.
Assist in academic advising and program marketing/recruiting.
Review and revise assessments to improve programs and ensure standards.
Participate in department, divisional, and College meetings and accreditation efforts.
