Job summary

Talentspring Payroll Academy is seeking a proactive student worker to guide participants in payroll accounting and continuing education programs. You will assist with payroll-related tasks, answer questions, and help learners stay on track while gaining real-world experience.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a degree program (business, HR, accounting, or related) with a basic understanding of payroll concepts, strong German communication, and a structured, independent work style.

• Student enrolled in a college or university.
• Interest in gaining payroll, continuing education, or participant support.
• Familiarity with payroll accounting or HR administration is helpful but not required.
• Good understanding of payroll topics such as income tax and social security.
• Clear communicator, patient with a diverse range of people.
• Fluent in German and respectful in communication.
• Must be a working student currently enrolled in a degree program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a reliable point of contact for participants regarding organizational and content questions.
• Assist with practical tasks related to payroll accounting, compensation processing, and payroll-related processes.
• Provide guidance and motivation throughout the learning process to keep participants on track.
• Explain and translate technical content related to gross-to-net calculations, social security, and tax reporting.
• Support the teaching team and contribute feedback from day-to-day learning experiences.

Your Responsibilities

• Support in Daily Learning Activities: You’ll serve as a reliable point of contact for participants regarding organizational and content‑related questions and assist them with practical tasks related to payroll accounting, compensation processing, and payroll‑related processes.
• Guiding participants: You’ll help provide direction throughout the learning process, motivate participants when they face challenges, and support them in staying on track.
• Explanation and Assistance: You help make technical content understandable and assist with the application of topics such as gross‑to‑net calculations, social security, income tax, reporting requirements, and related processes.
• Supporting the teaching team: You’ll work closely with our instructors, provide feedback based on day‑to‑day learning experiences, and assist with quality assurance for our programs.
• Contributing to Day‑to‑Day Operations: You’ll participate in team calls, document relevant information, and help further develop our learning and support processes.

What You Bring to the Table

• You are currently enrolled at a college or university—ideally in business administration, human resources management, accounting, business law, tax law, or a related field of study.
• You’d like to gain practical experience in payroll, continuing education, or participant support while pursuing your studies.
• Some familiarity with payroll accounting, compensation processing, HR administration, or HR operations is helpful but not required.
• You have a good basic understanding of—or a strong interest in—payroll‑related topics such as income tax, social security, and administrative HR processes.
• You can explain concepts clearly, are a good listener, and interact patiently with a diverse range of people.
• You communicate confidently and politely in German and come across as respectful and approachable.
• You work in a structured, reliable, and independent manner and can maintain a clear overview even when handling multiple tasks.
• You are tech‑savvy and enjoy familiarizing yourself with new tools and topics.
• Important: This position is designed as a working student role. Therefore, you must be currently enrolled in a degree program and able to support us regularly as a working student.
• Availability: Ideally, at least 4 afternoons per week from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
