Job summary

Delaware Valley University is seeking a student tutor to assist DVU students with understanding materials for specific courses and to help develop effective study strategies. The role requires current enrollment at Delaware Valley University and authorization to work in the United States.

The tutor will support tutoring sessions, complete required documentation, follow training deadlines, and perform other duties as assigned by the university.

Qualifications

• Must have completed courses they wish to tutor with a minimum grade of “B” as indicated on a transcript.
• Must be recommended by a DVU faculty member.
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with peers.

Responsibilities

• Tutor DVU students in course content.
• Suggest effective study and learning strategies.
• Submit the required documentation of time and tutoring activities.
• Ask tutored students to complete the feedback form and/or to submit other relevant information.

• Must have completed courses they wish to tutor with a minimum grade of “B” at DelVal or must have completed the equivalent course(s)/subject(s) at another accredited college/university. with a minimum grade of “B” as indicated on a transcript.
• Must be recommended by a DVU faculty member.
• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with peers.
