Position Title Student Worker: Microbiology Lab Assistant

Job Duties

• 1. Keeping glassware cleaned and cleaning up after each lab period in preparation for the next lab period will be the primary duties of the Microbiology lab assistant.


• 2. Refilling stains, reagents, water, and alcohol will be done at the beginning and middle of the semester.


• 3. Assisting in preparation of media and subculturing bacteria cultures will be a secondary responsibility.


• 4. Organizing materials in our inventory and helping in the ordering of replacement materials. Records will be kept on computer programs involving excel and word.


• 5. Other duties as needed.
