Job summary

Millersville University seeks a Student Worker for the Faculty Assistant role in the EMEE Department for Academic Year 2026-2027. The position offers a starting rate of $9.00/hr and requires a commitment of 5 hours per week with flexible days and hours.

Training is provided; please share your class schedule to help tailor hours to your academic plan. The student will assist faculty with general office duties, research tasks, and special events, supporting a professional and confidential

Qualifications

Committed to working at least 5 hours per week (over at least two days each week).
Must be able to work independently and show initiative.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to work compassionately and professionally with a diverse population.
Good interpersonal skills on the phone and face-to-face.
General computer experience (Word, Excel and Outlook preferred).
Willingness to perform varied duties.
Ability to multitask and work with multiple projects at one time.

Responsibilities

Support faculty with day-to-day tasks and work independently and/or as a team to accomplish the overall mission and goals of the department.
Copy, print, and scan documents when necessary.
May make deliveries around campus, dropping off and picking up materials to and from other departments.
Perform specific duties and provide assistance when requested.
Other duties as assigned by faculty
