This position is in the Admissions Department and supports the administrative and student recruiting
operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Handle routine office functions including, but not limited to, answering phones, greeting
  • visitors, and providing assistance as required; assist with completion of forms; basic data
  • entry; file, copy and scan documents.
  • Assist in performing campus tours for prospective students and their families.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of special events.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all University rules, regulations, and procedures. Assist in
  • dissemination of information about Florida Polytechnic University.
  • Performed other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of standard office machines and equipment.
  • Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Skill in typing/word processing and use of personal computer/software, especially Microsoft
  • Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Customer service skills and ability to work as member of a team important.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be currently enrolled or attending classes at Florida Polytechnic University.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.25 and have successfully completed 9 credits or
  • more in the most recent fall or spring semester with a GPA of 2.0 or better.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a valid driver’s license.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:

  • This position requires a criminal background check.
  • This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.

EXPECTED STARTING SALARY : $14.25 hourly up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring terms as approved by supervisor.
