Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a Center Counselor to deliver prevention and counseling services within a Job Corps program. You will develop prevention plans, educate students to prevent separations, and coordinate resources to support retention and success.

The role requires an active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification, a degree from an accredited school, and at least one year of related counseling experience, with HIPAA knowledge essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license or certification for substance abuse counseling meets state requirements.
• Degree from an accredited school is preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in drug/alcohol counseling or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate the Center’s alcohol, drug and tobacco prevention program.
• Educate and counsel students to reduce and prevent drug‑related separations from the program.
• Develop individualized case management plans to enhance student retention and success.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with HIPAA laws.
• Coordinate community resources for educating students on substance use and abuse.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized case management ensuring student progress, retention, and completion of the Job Corps program.
