Job summary

Quinnipiac University is seeking a Student Employment: Special Olympics CT Health and Wellness Assistant in Hamden, CT. The role is a Federal Work-Study position within the Office of Community Service.

You will identify wellness opportunities, create weekly posts for social media, and assist with Healthy Athletes events and data collection, supporting the Athlete Health Leader and the Health & Wellness Department.

Be enthusiastic and outgoing.
Have excellent organizational, writing and communication skills.
Be experienced using Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint.
Be able to work some nights and weekends if required.

Responsibilities

Identify local health and wellness opportunities for athletes, families and caregivers.
Create and manage weekly Wellness Wednesday posts for Facebook.
Engage in the planning and implementation of Healthy Athletes screening(s) at Summer Games.
Assist with Healthy Athletes data collection, entry, and analysis.
Provide support to the Athlete Health Leader.
Assist in the planning and implementation of the Athlete and Family Health Team.
Provide support to the Health & Wellness Department.
