Job summary

Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) seeks a part-time Student Support Counselor to provide direct counseling services to RCBC students. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, case management, and coordination with campus resources to support student experiences and retention.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work with an active or pending NJ LCSW, and eligibility for IFI and Supervisor certification within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work with current or pending LCSW in NJ; IFI and Supervisor certification eligibility within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or group counseling to students on crisis and personal concerns.
• Respond to daily inquiries via phone, email, and other channels regarding Student Support Counseling and department resources.
• Provide referrals and assist with development of student self-efficacy skills through follow-up guidance to campus offices.
• Provide crisis intervention counseling and follow-up with the Crisis Team.
• Assist with development and implementation of early intervention and retention programs.
• Travel between RCBC campuses as needed.
