Job summary

Imperial Valley College seeks a Professional Expert Wellness Navigator to lead wellness education initiatives and outreach for students. The role emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and connecting students to campus and community resources to support wellbeing and academic success.

The position reports to the Director of Student Health Services and involves workshops, campus events, and brief consultations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Health Education, Human Services, Sociology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in health promotion, wellness education, outreach, student engagement, resource navigation, or related activities, preferably in a college or university setting.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including young adults and college students.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of wellness by developing and implementing educational initiatives that support student well-being and academic success.
• Provide wellness education to students in individual and group settings through workshops, presentations, health fairs, and outreach activities.
• Increase awareness of Student Health Center programs and services through educational campaigns and student engagement efforts.
• Educate students about campus and community resources related to wellness, including physical health, emotional well-being, basic needs, stress management.
• Conduct brief individual wellness consultations focused on education to identify needs and facilitate referrals.
• Encourage help-seeking behaviors and reduce stigma around accessing wellness resources.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, student organizations, and community partners to integrate wellness education.
