Job summary

University of Michigan-Flint School of Management is seeking Student Wellness Ambassadors to promote holistic well-being on campus. Ambassadors will work with the Wolverine Well-being Educator to plan and deliver wellness presentations, tabling, and outreach activities.

Ideal candidates are UM-Flint students passionate about health and wellness, ready to engage in outreach, develop materials, and connect peers with resources.

Qualifications

• UM-Flint undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

• Complete training requirement to serve as a peer educator.
• Assist the Wolverine Well-being Educator in developing and delivering presentations, workshops and tabling events on various wellness related topics (e.g. nutrition, sleep hygiene, mental health, sexual health, substance abuse prevention, financial wellness, social connectedness)
• Assist with development and distribution of health promotion materials (e.g. flyers, social media content, digital campaigns)
• Actively participate in campus-wide events (e.g. Week of Wellness, Resource fairs, Orientation) to promote wellness initiatives
• Collaborate with student organizations, campus departments, and community partners to support programs and events
• Effectively communicate information about campus and community wellness resources
• Assist students in navigating and accessing appropriate support services
• Support the evaluation of wellness programs by gathering student feedback and contributing to ongoing improvement efforts
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to well-being and contribute to fostering a campus culture of wellness
