Job summary

The role serves as a primary resource, collaborates with families and school staff, coordinates with outside providers, and delivers targeted academic coaching and self-advocacy development. This position emphasizes proactive wellness initiatives and confidential record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field and licensure as a school counselor.
• Experience counseling or student support in a school or youth-serving setting.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and school-based mental health practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and crisis-response skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and mental health support for students with confidentiality per FERPA.
• Coordinate care with families, Academy staff, and outside providers.
• Deliver individualized academic coaching on organization, time management, and study skills.
• Support executive functioning, self-advocacy, and learning strategies.
• Participate in wellness programming and schoolwide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in professional development.
