Job summary

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) seeks a Student Video Production Assistant to support the Marketing and Multimedia team. The role involves assisting staff on client shoots, capturing footage at GCU campus events, and delivering footage to post-production.

You will work with a team of videography professionals on promos, testimonials, and large brand productions. You will learn on-set procedures, camera and lighting operations, and editing workflows using DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere.

Qualifications

Self-starter who can learn new skills and software.
Basic videography knowledge, able to operate a camera at live events.
Proficient in video editing with DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.
Able to lift 25–50 lbs of gear and equipment.
Portfolio or examples of past videography work recommended but not required.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Assist full-time staff on video projects as crew (gaffer, grip, audio, production assistant).
On-location filming for interviews and b-roll.
Learn on-set procedures and prep gear for shoots.
Make and upload selects for post-production team.
Organize and update inventory of studio gear and assets.
Evenings and weekends availability required.
