Job summary

Utah State University’s University Marketing & Communications seeks a creative, dependable Video Production Assistant to help create and deliver marketing videos and photo content. You will operate cameras, manage assets, and assist with edits under the Director of Photo & Video.

Daytime availability is required with some evenings/weekends; experience with FCPX or DaVinci Resolve preferred; this is a part-time, hourly role paying $15–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of video editing experience, FCPX preferred.
• Knowledge of Final Cut Pro X or DaVinci Resolve.
• Foundational skills related to shooting video and photo.
• Proficiency in export settings - resolution, codecs, bitrate.
• Ability to complete tasks and work without direct supervision.
• Detail oriented and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize assets - keywording/renaming files on our server
• Work with marketing managers and follow guidance to complete video edits
• Operate DSLR cameras, lighting and audio during productions
• Communicate and update status of tasks in Clickup (project management platform)
