Position Summary

The Student Video Production Assistant will be involved in all areas of video production within The Division of Marketing & Communications. The position will assist the full-time videographers and other creative team members with their day-to-day duties, including ingesting and processing footage, organizing equipment, and assisting on shoots. The Video Production Assistant will be assigned projects to work on independently by the full-time videographers and other teams within The Division of Marketing & Communications, so experience with cameras, lighting equipment, and video editing software is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Work with staff to organize, tag and maintain a working database of video footage. (25%)
2. Assist videographers with their assigned projects as requested. (25%)
3. Shoot and edit projects independently as needed. (25%)
4. Assist videographers with brainstorming and planning video projects. (15%)
5. Other duties as needed. (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Experience with cameras, lighting equipment, Adobe Creative Suite, and Davinci Resolve preferred.
