Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a Non-CDL Van Driver in Illinois to safely transport students to and from school and related activities.

This is a safety-sensitive role focused on maintaining a secure environment and positive interactions with students, parents, and staff. The position requires a valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record, 3+ years of driving experience, and willingness to obtain the First Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non-CDL).

Qualifications

• This role is a safety-sensitive position.
• Minimum age: 21 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• For Certified Non-CDL Van Drivers: IL driver's license, clean driving record, 3+ years of driving experience, and ILFirst Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non-CDL).
• For Non-Certified Non-CDL Van Drivers: Valid IL driver's license, clean driving record & 3+ years of driving experience.
• Willing to obtain the First Division School Bus Driver Permit (Non-CDL) - state requirements, with training provided.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Physical ability to assist students and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
• Ensure student safety during boarding, transit, and exiting the vehicle
• Manage student behavior and maintain a positive environment in the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
