Job summary

First Student is hiring a Field Supervisor (Student Transportation) in New Orleans, LA. The role supports the Contractual Manager in supervising daily operations, monitoring performance, safety issues, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities include supervising driver inspections, road checks, safety contacts, dispatching routes, and assisting with interviews while ensuring on-time performance and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitors driver pre- and post-trip inspections and equipment issues; takes corrective action.
• Performs driver road checks and observes work readiness.
• Performs IPP safety contacts with drivers; corrects safety violations on scene.
• Dispatches and drives routes as needed.
• Assists management with driver interviews.
• Monitors on-time performance.
