IDEA Public Schools in Houston seeks a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes to school sites and field trips, ensuring passenger safety and vehicle safety at all times.

The role requires a valid CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, completion of a safety training, and adherence to DOT and IDEA policies. This position is typically 32 hours per week with evenings and weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or High School Diploma
• Experience: Operation of large passenger vehicles; manage student behavior
• License or Certification: CDL with class P and S endorsements
• Completed bus driver safety training
• Must be over 21 years old
• Pass alcohol and drug tests
• DOT Physical Examination

Responsabilités

• Safely transports students on scheduled routes and field trips
• Maintains order and proper discipline of passengers and reports disciplinary incidents
• Performs daily safety and operational inspections of the vehicle
