Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking Transportation Educational Assistants for multiple positions at the Washington Educational Services Building. Duties include supervising students on routes, assisting with getting on/off the bus, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The role is non-exempt with hourly pay on a district-wide schedule. Requirements include HS Diploma and preference for 60 college credits or ParaPro exam; experience with students with disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, preference given to those with 60 college credits or completion of ParaPro exam.
• Experience working with or exposure to persons with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during the entire bus route and assist with boarding/alighting.
• Ensure proper safety equipment is used and students are properly seated before departure.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurately complete roster and incident reports as required.
• Participate in annual training courses, including first aid and disability-related protocols.
