Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be a graduate student if currently enrolled at the university.
• Experience driving vans/buses and working with low-income, first-generation students preferred.
• Valid, unexpired Driver’s License; bus/van driver training provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from designated pick-up and drop-off locations.
• Ensure that behavioral issues do not compromise safety of students on the van.
• Perform daily sign-on and sign-off sheets, accounting for each student.
• Ensure no student is left unattended while on the van.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks (pre/post trips) and keep detailed records.
• Maintain interior cleanliness and arrange exterior cleanliness as needed.
• Report any needed repairs to supervisor.
• Convey messages from parents and report incidents on the bus/van.
• Record mileage and submit gas receipts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
