Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is seeking a part‑time Student Transition Coordinator to partner with school districts in DeKalb, Noble, and Steuben counties.

This role supports Pre‑Employment Transition Services by collaborating with administrators, teachers, and area employers to identify programming and placement opportunities. You will document student progress, coordinate services, and help students explore post‑secondary options, work‑based learning, and self‑advocacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an Associate Degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to build relationships with area employers for work‑based learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass background check and have a valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and document Pre‑Employment Transition Services programming.
• Collaborate with VP of Transition Services to ensure VR program and contract compliance.
• Standardize delivery of Pre‑ETs services and use of tech for remote services.
• Engage students with curriculum and activities supporting growth in core service areas.
• Create and maintain forms/records for Pre‑ETs and track activities.
• Coordinate with area school systems for Pre‑Employment Services.
• Work with school administration, Student Transition Coordinators, and teachers on curriculum.
• Assist in selecting candidates for Pre‑Employment Transition Services programs.
• Complete all documentation, reports, and billing accurately and timely.
• Attend student/parent case conferences when appropriate.
• Provide Pre‑Employment Services in individual and group settings.
• Identify student needs and document work readiness for employers.
• Market student work‑based learning experiences to area businesses.
• Maintain relationships with work‑based learning site employers.
• Create and maintain summer program activities.
