Student Technician

Department: 36303 Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Radiology

Classification: Student Tech-MISC13

Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30 per hour

Hours per week: 0

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Radiologic Technologist. Performs general radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable procedures as assigned. Performs procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis. Provides appropriate age‑specific patient care to patients: neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric.

Qualifications
  • High School Graduate
  • Senior student of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Clinical experience obtained at completion of Junior year at an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology (no additional experience required)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; commitment to customer service
  • Effectively communicates with all applicable customers and age groups
  • Works effectively in a team environment and independently
