Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a current DPS student to support teachers and students during non-scheduled class times in campus settings. You will help prepare classrooms, assist with instructions, and maintain classroom resources while upholding safety and equity standards.

The role offers hourly pay and requires residing in Colorado while participating in the program. This position provides hands-on experience in education and student support within a diverse school community.

Qualifications

• A current DPS student will be eligible to apply.
• Champion equity and inclusive education practices.
• Must live and study in Colorado while working with DPS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing classrooms for lessons and display student work.
• Support supervising teachers with instructions and materials.
• Help maintain equipment/resources and supervise student activities.
• Keep basic student records and report progress as directed.
• Uphold safety, confidentiality, and equal access policies.
• Contribute to meaningful conversations around equity in learning.
